The National President provides overall strategic leadership and direction for the Moyamba District Students' Union. As the chief executive of MoDSU, the President is responsible for championing the union's mission of uniting students and promoting meaningful change in Moyamba District and Sierra Leone.
Elected democratically by the General Assembly, the President chairs all National Executive Committee meetings, represents MoDSU in all official capacities with government, academic institutions, NGOs, and the wider public, and is the ultimate custodian of MoDSU's constitution and values.

Oversees the collection of membership dues and levies, maintains accurate and transparent financial records, and presents regular financial reports to the NEC and General Assembly.
Manages and safeguards MoDSU's financial assets, processes approved expenditures, and works closely with the Financial Secretary to ensure fiscal accountability and sound financial management.
Manages MoDSU's communications strategy, social media presence, media relations, and public image — ensuring the union's voice reaches students, stakeholders, and the public effectively.
Advocates for the physical, mental, and academic well-being of all MoDSU members. Coordinates welfare support for members in need and ensures a safe, inclusive environment across all chapters.
Plans and coordinates all MoDSU events, programs, and activities. Responsible for logistics, scheduling, venue coordination, and ensuring all events run smoothly and effectively.
Develops, manages, and oversees MoDSU's developmental projects and strategic partnerships with external organizations, NGOs, government, and the private sector.

Qualified members submit their nominations for executive positions within the stipulated timeframe set by the outgoing NEC.
The Electoral Commission reviews nominations to verify eligibility, membership status, and compliance with constitutional requirements.
Verified candidates present their manifestos and campaign to members through speeches, social media, and chapter visits.
All registered MoDSU members cast their votes at the General Assembly or through the designated voting process supervised by the Electoral Commission.
Results are announced, and the newly elected executive is formally inaugurated in an official ceremony, commencing their term of service.
