The National President provides overall strategic leadership and direction for the Moyamba District Students' Union. As the chief executive of MoDSU, the President is responsible for championing the union's mission of uniting students and promoting meaningful change in Moyamba District and Sierra Leone.

Elected democratically by the General Assembly, the President chairs all National Executive Committee meetings, represents MoDSU in all official capacities with government, academic institutions, NGOs, and the wider public, and is the ultimate custodian of MoDSU's constitution and values.

Manages all official correspondence, maintains accurate meeting minutes and records, and ensures the administrative machinery of MoDSU runs smoothly and transparently.

Assistant Secretary General

Financial Secretary

Oversees the collection of membership dues and levies, maintains accurate and transparent financial records, and presents regular financial reports to the NEC and General Assembly.

How We Elect Our Leaders

MoDSU is a fully democratic organization. All National Executive officers are elected through a free, fair, and transparent process.

Nomination Period

Qualified members submit their nominations for executive positions within the stipulated timeframe set by the outgoing NEC.

Vetting & Verification

The Electoral Commission reviews nominations to verify eligibility, membership status, and compliance with constitutional requirements.

Campaigns

Verified candidates present their manifestos and campaign to members through speeches, social media, and chapter visits.

General Election

All registered MoDSU members cast their votes at the General Assembly or through the designated voting process supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Results & Inauguration

Results are announced, and the newly elected executive is formally inaugurated in an official ceremony, commencing their term of service.
